Like most teenage girls, many hours were spent cutting magazines up and pasting the photos into these blank books. I once went so far as to turn one of my bedroom walls into a giant collage. (I don’t remember my mom being so pleased. haha) Now with the growing popularity of websites like Pinterest, our adoration for making photo collages is readily available to our fingertips by just the click and drag of a photo. It’s both wonderful and almost too easy. But, I still can’t help but to partake in the fun. Plus, now I’m quickly becoming a magazine hoarder collector and I don’t want to cut any of them up.
So, as I get back into the swing of things on the ol’ blog, I’ve decided to put my Pinterest addiction to use and share some of the images that are inspiring me both creatively and fashionably this month or week.
It almost goes without saying that my style definitely has multiple personalities, but hey, it’s more fun that way, right? I just don’t see the fun in nailing myself down to one particular “genre” of fashion. However, that discussion is for another day, and blog post.
As for the month of January, you can see I’m feeling very inspired by the rocker groupie and musician/actresses of the 60s/70s. From Bebe Buell to Pamela Des Barres, and of course Stevie Nicks, I just can’t get enough of their style. Quite honestly, I currently want to live in a pair of velvet or lace bell bottoms and some old vintage t-shirts. I’ve always been a hippie at heart, and these free spirited ladies really call out to me.
